Arrangements for admission
An assessment will be completed prior to admittance and consideration given to the compatibility of the children/young people. A meeting will be held with the referring Local Authority’s Social Worker to gather relevant information, to consider the needs of the child/young person and to discuss any risks identified. A clear plan on how to manage, reduce or mitigate these risks will be agreed and documented.
We will facilitate transport to our home on request. Upon arrival, the child/young person will be given a tour of their new residence and surroundings, ensuring that they feel welcomed and supported. We will provide a welcome pack which will include basic toiletries, personal care items, age-appropriate toys and a journal.
