At CATE-UK, our passion is to deliver innovative accommodation solutions to Local Authorities. Our core team has over 60 years of frontline children’s services and management experience within the public sector. The team has a breadth of leadership skills, with a deep understanding of logistics.

We offer a warm and safe home for children to assist Local Authorities in crisis, as a bridging accommodation whilst you seek a more permanent placement. We are committed to supporting children and young people during moves from placements, providing a seamless, nurturing transition which offers assurance for both the Local Authority and most importantly, the child/young person.

During their short stay with us, the child/young person will be kept busy through educational and leisure activities tailored to their age, needs and developmental requirements. The activities can include outdoor pursuits, adventure trips, visits to historical sites for educational enrichment as well as indoor activities such as baking/cooking, arts, crafts and creativity.

We will support the child/young person to create memories with photos (if appropriate) that they can keep in a journal as part of their life journey.

We understand the importance of children maintaining relationships with their family and significant others and we are happy to facilitate or supervise contact in line with their care plan, upon request. We will provide you with weekly updates and progress reports, which may assist you in your search for longer term homes for the children/young people in your care.

All referrals will be risk-assessed and matched prior to the admission to our home.

We will provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment for all children/young people irrespective of race, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender or ethnic background.

Staff will be subject to DBS checks and will have experience in working with vulnerable children and adults. Staff will be made aware at induction of their responsibility to protect children and young people and how/where to report safeguarding concerns.

The property is compliant with fire regulations and a fire risk assessment has been carried out by a registered fire risk assessor. All safety arrangements will be regularly reviewed for their compliance with regulatory authorities.
